Sometimes I feel like it's the 80's all over again.....All this retro bullshit...Fools rocking "Members Only" jackets, tight jeans rolled up on the bottom, fake gold ropes, sweaty coke heads, and the strangest of them all........The resurgence of gangbanging...........Don't get the wrong impression, we all know it never totally disapeared............I was born and bred in California, where gangbanging is woven deep into the fabric of many communities................But didn't we learn the lessons of the 80's? Everyone trying to act all tough and bad until your ass get's thrown in prison.........Everyone trying to flag, and mean mug until someone gets shot and killed over trivial bullshit........This is your life, this isn't some Hip Hop video shit.............Afrika Bambaattaa laid the blueprint down people..He showed us a different way..........Use that gangbanging energy and turn it into something creative, something productive......... I love certain aspects of the 80's like everyone else, but we also have to warn these kids about the other side of the 80's........Peace..
