Since I am a M.C. myself, when I check for other M.C.'s there are several things that I am listening for........Wordplay, cadence, confidence, originality, poetic value, concepts, voice, and if their beat picking skills are up to par....
It may seem as if my criteria for freshness is extensive, but it's actually quite simple.........If you can convince me that you are thorough with your penmanship- I'm going to give you the two thumbs up.....
